So, you have probably experienced how dead simple it is to create a product. Many of you are asking me what is the next step now that you have got the product ready? Like in any other business, the next step is to start marketing your products.
For those of you who have already got your products ready (wasn’t it easy?!), gear up and be prepared to start marketing your product right after you have finished reading this post.
But, we all know that marketing a product can be quite a tedious task. On top of that, things can get a lot harder if you do not have a big mailing list.
Don’t be afraid! The profit hacking system does not require you to break a sweat on advertising and along the way, you can build a huge high-converting mailing list using this system.
Are you ready for it?
Part 1: How To Market Your Product Faster And More Efficiently Than The Gurus
Alright, so now you’ve got your product ready, it’s time to drive the traffic in and bring in the cash!
As a traffic building junkie, I’m constantly searching for creative means and methods to build traffic. For this system, I kept everything simple and easy to execute so that I do not have to spend too much time on marketing.
The first thing you need to do is to craft a catchy headline. Good headlines will make people want to find out more about your products.
Even if you have come up with an excellent product, your product won’t sell if you fail to get the attention of buyers. Also add in a few keywords that you think your potential buyers will be searching for.
Let’s take golf for example. I can add in the name Tiger Woods in my title as his name is synonymous with golf and people would love to play like him. This will catch people’s attention and get them to click on my product.
The rule of thumb to remember is: always create headlines that sell.
After creating your headline, use online marketplaces to build up traffic to your site. One of the hottest marketplaces is CraigsList. (I am in no way related to this site)
Craigslist is a huge marketplace and it is ranked highly on Google, which simply means that it has huge amount of traffic. Many guru marketers fail to realize how beneficial this site can be and how this site can help congest their site with traffic!
Using Craigslist, you need to choose where you want your ads to appear. I would suggest you place your ads under New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
These are three major cities with huge population and also with high amount of Internet users. Choosing to advertise in this three major cities will allow your ads to be exposing to as many readers as possible.
When using CraigsList, you can use a few simple tips to bring in a whole lot more traffic to your site.
You can target the long tail keywords in your title to give people exactly what they are looking for. You can also make use of the bold, italic or heading tags to better optimize your ad for Google bots to find you. You want to provide as much details as possible in as few words as possible and remember to use keywords in your title.
Another way to “milk” the traffic from CraigsList is to post image ads instead of text ad. Using an image ad allows you to post multiple ads instead. Make sure to make your image ad “clickable” and point it to your site. You might be flagged if you post multiple text ads but when using an image ad, there is no way CraigsList can detect multiple posting of an image ad.
CraigsList has more than 15 billion page views per month and a high page rank. You do not want to miss out on the amount of traffic it can bring you.

Another great place to market your product is on USFreeAds. This site is very much similar to CraigsList and you must also be a registered user before you can advertise on it. The only downside of using USFreeAds is you can only run two ads at a time if you sign up for a free account.
But given the amount of traffic they get per month, it will be still worth the effort to place an ad or 2 with them. After all, the marketing you are doing is already kept to a minimum, right?
USFreeAds also allows you to add an image to your advertisement. Adding a picture can make your ad stand out more so be sure to use this to your advantage.
Besides these two sites, there are lots of other sites that you can use to promote your products. Sites like Webclassifieds.us, Sell.com or Ebay.com are all great places to market your products.
Some sites will suspend your account if you place duplicate ads so do take note. Submit your product to as many sites as you want to, but putting up ads on any of these two sites will be good enough to generate high traffic.
Part 2: How To Build Your High Conversion Rate Mailing List… Easily!
Order Page Secrets
Firstly, set up an order page with the preferred choice of payment service. No lengthy sales letter is needed for your order page.
Keep it simple as the sole purpose of this page is for your buyers to process their orders. You do not want them to be distracted with other fancy stuff other than purchasing your products do you?
Next, select a form of payment service you want to use. I’m a fan of Paypal because they are very widely recognized on the Internet.
Although it might not seem like a lot of difference which payment service you choose but, one of the facts you might not know is some potential buyers stop before purchase because they do not have an account with the payment service you are using.
In your order page, write a short description to let your buyers know what they are purchasing. Always highlight and promote to them what kind of values or what the benefits are when they purchase your products.
All you need is a small description of around 100 words. Nothing more.
Next, you will need to go to Paypal and choose a payment button. I personally prefer the big ones as they are catchier.
Your order page is done when you have these two things put together. Simple isn’t it?
It is simple and it is also straight to the point, no bull**** stuff. It makes things a lot easier and clearer for the buyers as well.
Build A List Of High Converting Customers With A Thank You Page
After you’ve set up your order page, link your order page to a thank you page. This is an important page and this page will provide you with a mailing list of high converting customers.
How does it work?
Initially, I was surprised by how something this simple can work. All you need to do is to use an auto responder to set up an opt-in form on the thank you page and get your buyers to opt-in before they receive their product… That’s all.
You might be thinking I’m kidding again. Well, I’m not!
When people land at your thank you page, you know that they are willing to spend money online. And also, you know what kind of products you can sell them in the future based on what they have bought from you this time round. These two factors alone can greatly boost the lifetime value of your customers.
With this two pages, you can build a very qualified list of customers who are ready to spend and also much easier to sell a particular product to.
After you have put up and link the order page and thank you page together, always remember to do a test on these pages and make sure they are running fine.
Keep applying this method and soon before you know it, you will have a huge mailing list of motivated buyers!
To sum it up…
Again, all these steps may look simple but it is highly effective. A lot of “guru” marketers overlook the power of using these free marketplaces to help increase their traffic. They like sophisticated, fancy stuff.
But why would you need that fancy and complicated stuff when you can achieve the same results with methods that are ridiculously simple?

I bought a lot of IM courses the last few years (some of them were not cheap) and most of this training or coaching programs were just teaching me the exact method you develop in your Profit Hacking System.

The best courses because these courses work and the worst courses because they are just incomplete or very hard to understand if don’t have enough knowledges about ppc or other advertising techniques.
Most of the time, these courses are focused on special techniques that require some basic skills. I’ve rarely seen a real and complete, step by step guide, that really provide ALL the information you need to apply to succeed, there is always something missing or they don’t just fit in your actual targeting market.
But all the basics are the same for any online business, and this Profit Hacking System is a proven tactic used by all the “gurus”.

I just found your last post last night, after I just finished a short 25 page report on jock itch and male yeast infection. (Yucky subject, I know…). It had never occurred to me that I could use the links inside the report to medical photos and videos as an actual benefit on my sales page, so thanks for the suggestion. The report doesn’t conform to your guidelines (I like to write too much to let other people do all the work), but that one tip was priceless.
Now I have a question. I put a post on Craigslist, but it doesn’t look like html is allowed, and even paragraph breaks get lost. Am I missing something? Can I go ahead and use html even though it doesn’t say I can? (I know I could experiment, but my ad is already live and I don’t want to mess it up.)

Overall your info is good but most of what you said about Craigslist is not correct. It takes a lot of time and effort to post multiple ads on craigslist and they can very easily track multiple ads… even the image ads that you claim they can not. Also, making the image ads clickable is part of what causes your ads to be ghosted.

I’ve only found a few, very few with complete information.

I’ve searched the net all day for free thank you page generator/creator and every one I clicked on has been deleted or the website no longer exists.
I’d be SO grateful if anyone tell me how to create a thank you page, or where I can find instructions (for newbies) or templates or free programs?

I think Craig puts up a good model here that I will be using with my next website. Offer FREE info that is use able and profitable at the same time. Here you have a site that offers you free use able info that you don’t have to pay for! What a bonus and the best part is the info really does work.
A lot of websites should model this and customers are more likely to buy from you again.
