Making Money Even During Financial Tsunami – The All-New Survivor Series
“AIG struggles to survive the financial tsunami”, a Reuters headline screamed.
“The Financial Tsunami – Gigantic Swiss Banks Hold Steady For Now”, reported Spiegel Online International.
“Financial tsunami makes Asian exporters nervous”
It seems like this financial tsunami is engulfing almost every known country on the planet. I reckon you would have seen news on the financial tsunami, heard it on radio, viewed it on the Internet on news websites and blogs.
If you look around you, many of your friends or relatives have been impacted in one way or the other. Some have lost on their 401(k) investments, others their life savings, their jobs, yet others tremble in fear of the axe falling on their heads.
I have been fortunate, and I thank God for that. The decision to embark on Internet Marketing has secured my livelihood, even in terrible times like these. Some internet marketing gurus even reveal that business is booming for them like never before.
While others are panicking over the this crisis, I am going to show you…
“9 Recession-Proof Business Models”
You can now take advantage of any one, a few or all of these opportunities to make up for lost pay, lost savings, lost jobs, lost retirement funds, and grow your fortune from these 9 Recession-Proof Business Models.
#1: PPC Advertising
Otherwise known as Pay-Per-Click Advertising. It has become one of the most effective methods of Internet Marketing. With Pay Per Click Advertising, you are able to showcase your website alongside search engines results for specific keywords or keyword phrases. Your text link should ideally have an irresistable headline, enticing searchers to click on your advert.
It is one of the best tools to drive traffic to your website or your Affiliate Marketing product landing page. In fact, some gurus have earned millions just using PPC and with no website of their own.
You may have figured correctly that this is going to cost you every time someone clicks on you ad. However, there are ways you can use to maximise your return by clever choice of products, targeted marketing, and smart positioning.
#2: Profit from Article Marketing
You are probably familiar with advertorials. Article marketing on the Internet is no different from print advertorials. You can write articles relating to your market niche or product, and leave references and contact information about your business in a bio box and byline.
I am sure you can see how all parties benefit from this win-win situation. Your publisher gets free content, and you get free advertising.
By writing good coherent articles, you can enhance your credibility and attract new prospects to your business.
Stay tuned for my next post on article marketing as I will be sharing on how you can also profit from article marketing, just the same way as I did.
#3 Receive Your Pay Check By Reading Junk Emails
Doesn’t this sound too good to be true?
I personally loathe junk mail – I literally go amok when I login to my email only to see a swathe of junk mails sitting in my Junk Mail folder. Most of these junk mail are exactly – junk.
“What if you can get paid for reading ‘junk’?”, my friend Jim asked me.
If I can get paid for reading ‘junk’ mail every week, even daily, my reaction is “Wow! Sure.”.
The catch to earning a big income is you need to have a sizable mailing list. It helps if you already have a huge list of friends or ‘fans’ base.
Choosing the right program is important, and I am going to show you exactly which program you should sign up for to maximise your return on your investment in time in my future post.
#4 Your Pay-Per-Click Money Machine
You can now profit share with one of the largest U.S. company by market capitalization. With Google AdSense, you get paid every time someone clicks on an AdSense ad on your website.
You may wonder why Google bothers to do so. Why doesn’t Google keep all their revenue and profits to themselves?
Now, Google earns most of its revenue by through its popular Adwords program – this allows website owners to advertise on Google’s search result pages through targeted advertising on popular keywords. You can earn a share of the revenue that Google earns from AdWords by placing these same ads on your website. By helping Google advertise, you receive a percentage of Google’s earnings.
This must be lucrative. I know of people creating websites just to display these ads and profit from Adsense alone.
Yes, the money can be great, but if you don’t learn how to build a site that attracts targeted traffic then you won’t make much money from AdSense.
#5 Get Paid For Surfing
Do you know you can also get paid for surfing the web and clicking ads?
Just imagine if you get paid $0.01 for every website you personally view and you click on 10 ads per day. You get paid $3.00 for surfing different websites. You might say that is not a lot, and I agree with you.
The key is leverage. Most Pay-Per-View programs pay you when your referrals perform the same actions as you do.
Suppose you also get paid $0.01 every time your referral clicks on a website. If 20 referrals also click 10 ads per day, you will get an additional $60 in a month.
You can probably work out your own sums. The more your referrals click on these websites, the higher your earnings.
#6 Milking the Social Networking Sites
If you have a winning personality and have huge networks on Facebook, Myspace or Twitter, congratulations! This could be your killer business model.
Some people frown upon people who indiscriminately use social networking sites to link up with friends, family, acquaintances, and even strangers. I know of some people who hold the opinion that these are just a crazy bunch of people who are competing to see who is most popular and has the most friends.
I am not one to pass judgment on what is their motive for setting up their social networking profile. I can only say that these people are more likely to succeed than others in Internet Marketing, since they can leverage on their extensive networks on these social networking sites.
You might be one of them too, and good luck to you.
It is of course not as simple as having a large network. You need to have the tools, the techniques in order to milk your social networks for all their worth, which will be a theme of my future blog post.
#7 Traffic Exchange Marketing
I have seen how traffic exchange marketing has evolved into a viable business model. During its early days, this technique generated reciprocal traffic between webmasters.
Today, it involves you submitting your site’s url address and you earn credits every time you visit other members’ websites. In exchange, other members visit your site to earn credits. There are variations on this basic concept.
If your website good content, you will attract and retain site visitors. This is probably one of the best ways of generating traffic to your website when you’re first starting out.
Learn what is key to succeeding in traffic exchange marketing in my future blog post.
#8 Get Paid While Indulging In Writing
Almost anyone can write. However, not everyone knows that you can get paid for writing. We used to think that only writers, news columnists get paid for writing. Even then we may perceive them as lowly paid professionals.
If writing is your hobby, you can now turn this hobby into a money making machine. You can get paid for writing high-quality articles for public consumption on DOZENS of websites.
To some copywriters, it is probably second nature. If you are like me initially, you probably may encounter writer’s block. However, the more you write, the easier it becomes for you to write articles.
Find out how you can turn your writing passion into a passive income generator in my future blog post.
#9 Earn Cash for Downloading
I download lots of stuff from the Internet everyday – toolbars, graphics, mp3 files, new software. It all seemed like magic when I got to know of a business model that rewarded you with cash for downloading programs.
Some of these programs are international, which means you can make money from anyone out there in the world. As you become more savvy in Internet Marketing, you get better at qualifying and targeting your prospects. With experience, you can earn a sizable income from this type of program.
Just imagine thousands of your referrals downloading from these pay-per-download programs, and you get paid a fraction of the cost of the programs.

I trust you are just simply dying to know HOW you can use these business models. I wanted to put all these juicy details in one page, but that may be just a bit of an information overload for you.
To make things easier, you may want to download my toolbar here. This way, you will not miss a single post on all the meaty details on how you can profit from these 9 Recession-Proof Business Models.

Thank You for the list of different options available on the internet to make money. I might be just checking some of them out with the economy the way it is.
Hi craig

Craig,
You are correct (as anyone with a lick of sense should be) about the “non-recession” online.
Personally, I haven’t made one penny online – and, I’ve been “researching” for the past 10+ years. Information overload?
Perhaps…
But, I do know one thing just from mere observation: The guru’s haven’t even slowed down – so, it must be working.
I was fortunate enough to be “granted” a program to get “up and running” a little over a year ago and had to put it on hold due to (personal) relationship changes, a move and several other offline “personal” matters.
Additionally, I came to a pause with the “system” when I got to the part of -finding my niche-…
Now, I know that wouldn’t be difficult for most anyone with half a wit in the cyber-world but, for me it has been quite a challenge.
You see, for the majority of just about anything I persue (offline and by conscious choice), I do pretty damn well at.
And, therein lies the problem: How does one “choose” a niche from personal knowledge/experiences, hobbies, interests, etc. when you’re basically a JoA (Jack of All Trades).
Yes, and though I’m really not a true “Master” at much on the outside, it has occured to me (through a few good reads on Spiritual Enlightenment) that I am a Master to my Self.
Whether I acknowledge it or not, I create my own reality – we all do. How we perceive our personal world is a result of our inner thoughts – mostly programmed into us from a very early age.
Discovering that has put a whole new perspective on my life (for the past three years or so). And, it finally occured to me that if money was not one of my “higher concerns”, what would I be doing – or better yet, what would bring me (inner) joy at the drop of a hat?
For me it’s just getting outdoors – the woods and the mountains (or foothills where I am at present). There’s just something about being in the midst of all of the life that’s there – it’s energizing (to me)…
To some degree, it’s different for each of us.
So, here’s the kicker…
Recently, I’ve been trying to wrap my brain around the fact that if anyone knows how to use a PC and can reasonably type, they can profit from that (inspiration) regardless of the economy – ONLINE!!!
At present I’m in the process of “where to start” with my “inspiration” since I now see a gazillion opportunities laid out in front of me – and, I’m broke!
But, not to worry. The simple fact that I’ve taken my first move to actually put it into words has told the entire Universe that I’m serious about Life and giving up doesn’t add a thing.
Craig, thanks for giving me yet another subtle boost.
If any of your other readers has views on “getting started on the Internet” and/or “Outdoor” interests, I’ll be checking back.
Thanks again,
Robert
Great post and very encouraging to those who are worried where their next job is! Especially at a time like this when everything looks so gloomy.

Thanks for your post and looking forward to your next about the tips. Glad you are feeling better. We need someone like you.
As you probably know I am just newbie in this business and I usually jump from one website to the other, but I have learn to reject a lot of email offering opportunity as it distract my concentration. It made me crazy with all this junk email. I am looking at some of the links you have recommended I find interesting.

i am very impress with ur write up but am totally confused about the whole things.Pls can u send more detail information to my my mail so that i can increase my income. Thanks and eager to hear from u.
Now “Financial Tsunami” (FT) is much more dramatic than the ‘Credit Crunch’ but that is what seems to be happening right now. I think the Financial Times of London should keep its acronym but change its name.
Thanks for all the info Craig. I have picked up something new from your post. Even though like Robert I have also been on the ‘net for ten years with little to show for it (I have made about $10 k so far but that is a poor average!) I still keep the carrot in front.
Seems to me the key is Focus, Focus, Focus and after that still keep Focusing on your i-deal, whatever that is.
I can’t resist pointing you all to my web site above as I am convinced that it shows one way out of the financial mess that is only just developing.
As well as ‘FOCUS’ if you are on the WEB, you need to ‘STOP SPENDING’ on ANYTHING you don’t really need ON or OFF-LINE in times like these. I am a wrinkly and I have seen a lot businesses go down through tooling up with unnecessary gear – I have even done it myself. And that was in the good times compared with these.
So DON’T SPEND on ANYTHING you don’t really have to – is my advice for the storm. You will be amazed at how much you will save – no ‘MAKE’. Try a book called “The Richest Man in Babylon” by George S Clayton, Signet (New American Library) ISBN 0-451-16520-9
All the best to one and all, Joe Boylan
