Easy Organic Traffic Series 4 – Article Marketing

Article marketing can establish you as an expert or even an authority in the eyes of your audience. I used to think that it can get me only direct traffic, however I was wrong! Article marketing can also boost your search engine ranking.

You can write the articles yourself or hire some freelancer to write them for you. When hiring free lance writers, you might be better off hiring native English speaking people. It may cost a little bit more, however, the quality is usually so much better.

Article Marketing Keywords

When it comes to marketing online, keywords will always play a HUGE role. Based on the past blog post, SEO Research you should use those keywords for writing articles.

Keywords in Your Title

In your article title, use your keywords. Sometimes you might even want to use them twice! Instead having a title that says, “Babystroller Reviews”, you can have a title that says, “Babystroller Reviews: Babystroller Reviews For First Time Moms”.

Keywords Inside Articles

Sprinkle your keywords near the top and bottom of your articles, just make it natural, very conversational-style.

Resource Box

At the end of your article, always include at least a link back to your own site, remember to use keyword-rich anchor text as your link. There must be a call to action at the end of your resource box.

Let’s face it, we are not trying to rank well for no reasons, we want high rankings so that we get more unique visitors to our website. If your article ranks very well and nobody clicks on the resource box, you will get no traffic!

Your resource box should state some very clear benefit for someone to click over to your website. Are you offering a free report, a free software or just a bunch really solid information on your blog? Tell that to your article readers!

Article Submission

If you have little time to submit your articles, just submit to EzineArticles.com, since it has the most amount of traffic and the easiest to rank well.

Not only can you use your articles to build your credibility, rank well on search engines, you can also use it to build your own list! They all tie in together as a whole package of benefits.

Here’s a great resource to help you use Ezine Articles To Build Your List. (For such powerful information at such a low price, it’s a steal!)

I’m sure I’ve already read what I’m about to ask you somewhere, so please forgive me if this question seems a bit redundant.

How did you get your “Hand Written” signature on you blog? Can you just reply with a quick link or two? That would be great. Thanks!

P.S. I just now “Stumbled” this page. You’re welcome!  :)

Hi Gary,

Google for free handwritten font, use some HTML editor, take a screenshot then upload the image.

Actually, this was done for me as a gift by 1 of my subscribers. That’s how he did it.

David Perkins Says:

Regarding Gary’s question above…
Gary,
Write your actual signature on a VERY white piece of paper with a “fine” Sharpie.
Scan your signature into a graphics editor (doesn’t need to be expensive editing software) and size it appropriately and give it an easy to remember filename like… signature.gif
Then, upload your signature to your image folder on your website’s server.  You can link to it from there as I do in this example: http://www.daveylee.com/images/signature.gif
Then, in HTML mode, you can add your image file at the end of your article and there’s your actual signature…
or as Craig suggested above, a handwritten font is the easy way out.

Hi Craig
Articles are a great traffic source. The article prequalifies the person to click through to your optin page. Really we want high quality leads to optin in to our lists. The more targeted the article the more specific the lead.

It would be worth while to send people to selected optin pages to put them on specific lists for future marketing. This way you can give them very detailed information related to their area of interest.

Thanks again for the posts. I look forward to reading them.
David
