Creating Content That People Want

You may think that you are great writer & can write content, create podcasts, create videos fast. However, what’s the point of creating so much content when nobody wants them! What’s the point of having content when you don’t know what to do with them?

Research

It may seem like I keep harping on research like a broken record, however, this is 1 of the biggest reason that people fail online. Without research, you won’t know what your audience wants, you won’t even know if you have an audience for your product & services.

Relevance

Keep yourself updated with the latest updates within your industry so that you can be the first to update your audience about your findings. This will make you appear more relevant to them.

Conversation

Write like you speak, in a conversational style. Using simple words & shorter sentences will also make it a lot easier for others to read. Marketing online is not about selling stuff, it is about conversation.

If your content can match the conversation in the minds of your audience & your product or services can solve their problems, sales conversion won’t be a problem. Once you can communicate clearly to your audience, it will be much easier for them to spend money with you.

Purpose of Content

Relationship

Your content is really your communication tool, in fact, it is your most powerful relationship building tool. After all, you would prefer to be in business long term, right? That’s why you need to use your content to build relationship with your marketplace.

Trust

Good content can also build trust. When someone reads your article & they find it very helpful, do you think they would continue reading your stuff? Yes, of course! On the other hand, if you have lots of obvious spelling errors & your information is not helpful, who cares!

Traffic

Content can drive you traffic. When you submit articles to article directories, someone reads your article & clicks on your link to visit your website. Maybe you blog often & people subscribe to your newsletter & RSS feed so that they can follow your blog. You end up with a high percentage of repeat visitors to your website.

U.S.P

Your content can define who YOU really are. U.S.P is usually known as ‘unique selling position’, I like to define it as ‘unique selling personality’ which is none other than you. (Or who ever is the ‘face’ of your business.)

It does take time to create a really solid U.S.P that puts you head & shoulders above your competitors. It is worth your time to develop your U.S.P because it is the reason why people will choose to buy from you instead of your competitor.

Fortunately, using quality content, you can build your U.S.P faster than ever. Forget about the economy, forget about the virus in the air, forget about what your competitors are saying about you, just go ahead, keep on shining… remember, you are 1 heck of a Unique Special Person! (U.S.P)

Wishing YOU Success In Life,
Craig Johnson

Wow! I have never heard U.S.P being defined in so many ways, you know what – you are really 1 unique special person, can I say inspirational as well?

Finally, somebody is blogging about the factors that truly matter in an online business! Keep it up or should I say, keep on shining ; )

Hi Craig,

You have a very informative blog.

Thank you for creating this great information center.

Looks like you have a lot of followers depending on your expertise.

I know I found some great info about content for articles.

I did get one accepted on goarticles.com

I do have trouble writing them though. That’s the only one I have submitted. But I am working on more.

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us.
